Background
Jon organised his first gaming event, CLUK, in 2003. Using his student loan to fund the initial network setup and writing his own systems to get everything up and running, over 50 people turned up to a village hall in Stoke-on-Trent to play games for a few days.
It was never the plan for that small LAN event to grow in to the business you now know as EPIC.LAN, it was just a hobby alongside a day job as a Head of Marketing in the sports and leisure industry. Jon used his history of marketing and the public then charity sector to focus in on the highest possible customer experience for LAN attendees and B2B clients until EPIC.LAN gained the huge amount of respect it has today as a gaming and esports technical support agency.
