Rainbow Rumble 2026

EPIC.LAN has continued to work with Ubisoft UK to operate the Rainbow Rumble, with the 2026 edition smashing all previous records for the Rainbow 6 Community

Since being selected in 2023 to run the Northern Europe edition of the annual tier 2 tournament, EPIC.LAN has continued to work alongside Ubisoft UK to enhance the product year on year, delivering improvements to broadcast, player experience and social media engagement by working with a top tier team internally and partner agencies such as High Viz Media Group (recorded content) and ReadySetMedia (social media).

By providing all of the key services under one roof via EPIC.LAN, the current partnership has allowed the league to flourish as one of the primary tournaments of the new EML Challenger Circuit, giving players true progression opportunities in the Rainbow 6 Siege ecosystem.

For the 2025 and 2026 editions, EPIC.LAN took the studio finals to the high tech facilities at Staffordshire University where the team delivered full broadcast production and set design & build from the Stoke-on-Trent based facilities, working alongside student teams from the university to give real commercial broadcast experience to those currently studying on their esports degree programmes.

A weekly structure of meetings continued with the client through the build, live and post tournament phases to ensure that key information was disseminated, with Discord utilised throughout the remote and in person phases to communicate with all key stakeholders.

    Qualifiers & Group Stages

EPIC.LAN and Ubisoft continued to listen to player feedback from previous seasons to make changes to the qualifying format in 2026 by moving towards a points-based system. This year, improvements were made to the broadcast through the introduction of a permanent host as well as incorporating replays into the weekly broadcasts to enhance analysis segments. The use of statistics continued to grow and were a key part of the season story-telling process, working alongside the replay operator to enhance the broadcast significantly.

While EPIC.LAN’s tournament platform is no longer used as the public facing platform for player results due to a global change within Ubisoft, it does remain a key driver for tournament statistics, powering the back-end data used on broadcast. Recorded content this season became more gameplay focussed as part of a planned change of creative direction, this content also included working with T1 analyst Jack “FreshOnDesk” Allen to create deep dives in to the previous week’s gameplay.

    Playoffs

The season finals at Staffordshire University saw the EPIC.LAN custom designed wrestling ring set utilised for desk segments along with a full talent team on site, working with a production team made up of established esports professionals alongside up and coming student talent from the University of Staffordshire. The mystery guest theme continued throughout the finals including an on-site appearance from international Siege royalty, Tim “AceOfPyrite” Lever who joined us for some typical Rumble chaos.
